Here we go people!!! Week 2 is underway!!! LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got up this morning and did my Week 1 Weigh - In and was very happy with the results of my first week. I've lost 2 inches on my waist, one off my hips and one off my chest! I've only dropped 2 pounds on the scale but my body is looking leaner and that's what counts!
Excited after my weigh in, I jumped right into my workout for today: CARDIO POWER AND RESISTANCE. Last week when I did this workout for the first time, it was hard. Not impossible but hard! It was still hard!!! But I am seeing improvements in my endurance each and every workout!
The challenge I now face is to keep my diet in check and stick to my workout plan while on a weekend trip to visit friends and family on the East coast. I will be flying there tomorrow night and getting in Thursday morning, staying at friend's houses and driving around from DC, to NYC and Philly. It will be hard to stick to my diet. The beauty of INSANITY is that you don't need weights or bands or anything, just the DVDs and yourself! Perfect for travel! I am up for the challenge so here we go!!

WEEK 1 WEIGHT IN
Week 1 is finished!!!

Only 8 more weeks to go!!
Let's see how everything is going on my weigh in:
Weight: 141 lbs
Waist: 32 in
Chest: 34.5 in
Left Bicep: 13 in
Right Bicep: 13.5 in
Here is my Week 1 weight in picture:

Goal Tracking:
This first week I was able to lose 2 pounds off the scale, I lost 2 inches off my waist, and 1/2 an inch off my chest!! I originally said I wanted to add an inch on my chest and only my arms but for now I am happy burning as much fat as I can to rid my body of it! So inches going down in my chest doesn't mean that I am getting weaker but LEANER! This is great!! I am going to focus on getting rid of everything that I don't want before I start worrying about adding what I don't have.
That's all for now, going to go get ready to do my Day 8 workout!
See you soon
Stomach fat is starting to look better and I feel great!
Day 7: OFF
Yesterday I enjoyed my first OFF day from INSANITY and celebrated it by going on a hike in the afternoon up Runyon Canyon in Hollywood, CA. It was a beautiful day and the hike was the perfect thing to do on my OFF day.
I'm excited to do my first week weigh in and measurements to see how my body is responding to INSANITY and the diet I am currently on.
All the best!

Day 6: PLYOMETRIC CARDIO CIRCUIT
Alright!
The second time doing this workout and it was easier and I was able to push harder!!! That makes me really excited because the first time I did it, I took more breaks so this means that my body is starting to get used to being pushed everyday! Today was a great workout! I knew what to expect from it and it was good to come back to something familiar but still have to DIG DEEP and sweat off some pounds.
I'm excited for my first OFF day tomorrow where I won't have any workouts to do, however, I might do some miles on my bicycle or go for a run... We'll see!
That's all for now guys!

Day 5: PURE CARDIO
Alright!!!!
Just finished my day 5 workout for INSANITY and it was PURE CARDIO!!! WOW What an awesome workout! I had to stop in the middle of it just to wipe up the floor in my room because it was getting so slippery from me sweating buckets that my sneakers weren't able to grip the ground anymore! What a kick in the ass! It was awesome....
I'm almost at the end of the first week and I am excited to check in with my weight and measurements for my week 1 results. I decided to do weekly weigh ins and measurements to keep good track of how this program is going. I'm used to checking the scale everyday so it's a little different making myself wait to do it but I'm hoping that it will pay off!!
That's about it for now -
All the best!

Day 4: Cardio Recovery
Wow!
Who knew you can sweat so much doing a "recovery" work out. Today's workout was awesome. Lots of stretching but still sweating buckets. Even though this workout went at a slower pace and wasn't focused on working out to absolute failure, I still found it challenging which was great.
It felt good to take some time and stretch my legs out given how much of this program is cardio and plyometrics.
Also, today's workout felt especially nice because last night I went out and had some wine and some mojitos to celebrate my roomate's birthday and ended up stayin up until 6 in the morning. It was a good challenge to still get up today and keep to my program and doing my workout. Also, it's really nice sweating out all the toxins in my body.
That's all for now!
Time for my recovery drink.... thank God for smoothies!
Day 3: Cardio Power and Resistance
Sorry that this entry is a day late. I did my workout yesterday and then I decided to not upload the blog immediately after finishing and forgot to do it before going to bed. So here goes:
The combination of jumping and squatting while working to absolute failure is really pushing my body to the edge in a different way than I'm used to. I'm excited for the continuous kick in the ass these next 60 days will be!
