DAY 29: CORE CARDIO AND BALANCE

Today was the first day of my recovery week and the first day of doing CORE CARDIO AND BALANCE!! It was an interesting workout....very different from the other INSANITY workouts I have done so far. It's going to be interesting to see how my body reacts to this recovery week and then next week when everything gets pushed up to MAX INTERVAL TRAINING!

After I finished my workout, my friend Tristan invited me to go on a hike. Since it was a beautiful day, I accepted his offer. We ended up going on a "hike" which was running through canyon terrain, jumping from rock to rock, crossing fallen trees and rock climbing up the face of Eaton Canyon! We made it all the way up to the third waterfall and then ran all the way back down. My friend is on his recovery week for P90X so we both decided to keep pushing this week by hiking. Looks like the bug caught on because we are hiking up again tomorrow morning and then in the afternoon I'll be doing my recovery workout.

I'm excited for this recovery week and I can't wait to kick it up a notch for the last 4 weeks of this great program.

DAY 27: PLYOMETRIC CARDIO CIRCUIT

Last night I did the Plyometric Cardio Circuit. I'm gonna miss this workout. It was the last time that I'll do it for this round of INSANITY because starting on Tuesday, it's my recovery week and then it's on to MAX INTERVAL TRAINING!

As I finish the last day of my first month of INSANITY, it's amazing to think that less than 4 weeks ago, I hadn't even started this program. In just 4 weeks, I was able to gain so much physical endurance; when I first started, I could barely finish the second round of warmups, now I push through 90% of the workouts before I have to take a break.

Excited for more!

DAY 26: PURE CARDIO AND CARDIO ABS

Last night I did the Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs workout. WOW! This workout kicks my ass every single time! Pure Cardio is absolutely nuts and it just does not stop! Once it gets going, it just keeps pushing you to the max until finally you're about to keel over and then you finish it and it's time to cool down. Then, just as you think, "Great, I'm cooling down and I did great on this workout, time to relax after this-" NOPE! It's time for Cardio Abs!

When the warm up starts for Cardio Abs, it's even harder cuz I'm usually still sweating from Pure Cardio. Then you get into the C-Sit position and it's a core shredder until the end. Finally, when you're done stretching from the Cardio Abs workout, you've hit your second wind because you've worked so hard and you can relax and enjoy a recovery drink and update your blog!

Here's to Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs

DAY 25: CARDIO RECOVERY

On Friday, I did my Cardio Recovery workout.

It was hard to hold my deep stretches this week....my legs kept shaking! It felt good when I was finished though and it was good to get the stretches in before my recovery week.

Sorry this entry was late....

DAY 24: PLYOMETRIC CARDIO CIRCUIT

Okay, so I forgot to update yesterday after doing my workout so here is a delayed entry:

Yesterday was day 24 and I did the Plyometric Cardio Circuit! I really really enjoy this workout! It's so good and get's me sweating so much! It's pretty amazing how much has changed in 24 days; from Day 1 when I thought sweating a lot meant I had to wipe up the floor one or twice to keep my sneakers from slipping to now where every 30 second break interval I wipe up the floor.

I'm ready to keep on pushing!!!
